Make an impact in the international policy landscape by driving data-informed diplomacy. This is an exciting opportunity to use your data science expertise to support strategic decisions and policy formulation across Southeast Asia. You'll be joining a high-impact team where innovation, data integrity, and analytical storytelling shape Australia's regional engagement.

Location: ACT
Clearance: Negative Vetting 2

Key Duties:

  • Develop and maintain data systems and models using Python and Power BI.
  • Analyse and visualise data to inform policy and program delivery.
  • Extend and maintain AI tools (OpenAI, Azure) for content summarisation and analysis.
  • Support the Southeast Asia Data Analytics Section with ad hoc data services.
Key Criteria:
  • Strong experience in Python for ETL, data wrangling, and analysis.
  • Skilled in data modelling and visualisation, preferably using Power BI.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop AI-driven tools for data analysis.
  • NV1 clearance required (NV2 preferred); Australian citizenship essential.
