Data Scientist - 6 Month Contract | $1,200pd inc Super | Financial Services

Location: Sydney (Hybrid)
Contract Length: 6 Months
Rate: $1,200 per day (inc Super)

About the Role

Join a Enterprise Technology division and help revolutionise the way their organisation leverages Generative AI for staff productivity and intelligent automation. As a Data Scientist, you'll be instrumental in applying advanced analytics and AI solutions to drive real business outcomes across risk management, customer experience, operational efficiency, and productivity tools.

What You'll Do

  • Apply statistical techniques, machine learning models, and data engineering practices to solve complex challenges.

  • Design, build, and optimise Generative AI and LLM-based solutions.

  • Monitor and enhance model performance, ensuring scalability and efficiency.

  • Explore and implement new tools, frameworks, and techniques to advance AI capabilities.

  • Translate technical insights into clear recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.

What You'll Bring

  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.

  • Experience with prompt engineering and fine-tuning LLMs.

  • Knowledge of RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) solutions.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Gen AI frameworks (e.g. LangChain).

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
