The Aboriginal Community Health Organisation is seeking a General Practitioner to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to providing high-quality care and possess excellent clinical skills.

About the Role

This well-established clinic has strong community engagement and is well supported by Nursing and Aboriginal Health staff. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on health outcomes in Aboriginal Health and work on the frontline.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, plan, implement, and evaluate clinical care strategies, including appropriate investigations, treatment, and referral.
  • Support a continuous improvement model for achieving healthcare outcomes.
  • Work sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and/or communities.

Requirements

The successful candidate must meet the following criteria:

  • Registration as a General Practitioner with the Australian Medical Board (unrestricted).
  • Able to obtain an unrestricted Medicare provider number for claiming Medicare Benefits Schedule rebates at Ipswich and Laidley Clinic locations.
  • Current insurance indemnity.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet targets and performance outcomes.
  • Able to work sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and/or communities.
