The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering quality care to seniors and vulnerable populations, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide exceptional patient outcomes.
This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, documenting, and directing resident needs through consultation with medical professionals, care conferences, and internal staff. You will also oversee the provision of quality health services, promoting communication and compliance with policies and procedures.
Responsibilities- Assessing and managing resident care plans, prioritizing tasks and delegate duties as needed;
- Providing leadership to healthcare staff, mentoring, coaching, and developing their skills and competencies;
- Ensuring accurate and timely documentation of resident care, including medication administration, vital signs, and treatment plans;
- Collaborating with medical professionals, pharmacists, and other healthcare team members to ensure seamless care transitions;
- Developing and implementing strategies to improve resident outcomes, reduce hospital readmissions, and enhance overall quality of life;
- Staying up-to-date with best practices, attending training sessions, workshops, and conferences to advance knowledge and skills;
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to policy development, and advocating for residents' rights and interests;

- Active registration with the Association of New Brunswick Licensed Practical Nurses (ANBLPN);
- Ability to work flexible hours, days, nights, weekends, and holidays;
- Valid CPR & First Aid or BLS Certification required;
- Clear criminal record with vulnerable sector screening upon hire;
- Advanced proficiency in English language is required, French considered an asset;
- Any previous course in Alzheimer's and Dementia Care highly valued;
- Previous experience working with elderly in long-term care or senior living environments a significant asset;
- Passion for the healthcare sector and ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services, and care;
