Ipswich Hospital | Sales and Business Development | Permanent | Part time
Up to £33,000 pro rata, dependent on experience
22.5 hours per week
The Healthcare Account Manager role will be pivotal to drive the sales and marketing for the hospital. Your role will involve visiting local employers with PMI benefits for their staff, GPs, Optometrists, working within the hospital to build and execute the marketing and events plan to showcase the Nuffield brand. The Healthcare Account Manager reports into the Director of Operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting, developing and delivering the hospitals specialty specific referral sales strategy for the Primary Care community (GPs, Practice Managers and Nurses, and all other relevant clinicians), other allied health professionals, corporate clients and local businesses.
The focus for this role will be very much about increasing referrals for identified specialty areas from a network of influencers including but not limited to primary care, businesses and other referrers.
Responsibilities
- To grow selected specialty lines as directed by the Director of Operations by way of targeted approaches with referral influencers across all payor groups and internal audiences to ensure seamless customer experience.
- Working hand in hand with consultants and referrers, this role is an integral part of the hospital growth plan
- Support & Develop a targeted growth referral strategy with revenue targets for selected specialties and consultants which incorporates key audiences such as primary care, physiotherapists, local businesses and other target audiences
- Develop key internal relationships to support the growth of the specialty and design and oversea an MDT approach in day to day delivery
- Working with corporate clients and SMEs with Nuffield multi-disciplinary teams to build tailored packages and innovative solutions as part of the specialty growth strategy
- Report weekly on activity planned and previous week outcomes to Director of Operations.
- Identify new business and services to support the growth of the specialty plan
- Be innovative in providing solutions for GP's and key audiences that build brand loyalty
- Work with Nuffield Gym colleagues to devise cross lead generation for selected specialty lines
- Actively network with other departments and consultants within the hospital to meet the needs of the referral audience
- Organise, market and deliver events using most up to date methods of attraction to be number 1 choice in the market place for CPD education
- Gather and report back market intelligence
- Use CRM systems to ensure effective account management of key relationships with stakeholders
Essential:
- A proven track record of Sales and business development
- A proactive, enthusiastic, self-starter with the ability to work on own initiative without supervision, absolutely essential
- Good numerical and analytical ability
- Ability to influence diverse sets of audiences
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team
- Strong prioritisation and time-management skills
- Proven experience of presenting to groups – GP's, Consultants, businesses
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
- Previous experience in a private hospital setting
- An understanding of the private healthcare sector and credible with senior healthcare professionals as well as corporate clients
