Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled health professional to provide technical expertise in injury prevention, management, and rehabilitation processes. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to engage with various stakeholders, and experience working in complex environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate case management activities with workers, medical providers, and stakeholders.
  • Provide support for regulatory health surveillance, reporting, and health promotion initiatives.
  • Lead observational exercises and offer technical guidance underpinned by a culture of care.
  • Maintain data integrity and document management systems.
  • Support site medical services, including paramedics, EAPs, physiotherapy, and occupational physicians.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree in a health-related discipline (e.g., OHS, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, nursing, psychology).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ideal experience in large, complex environments within mining or heavy industry.
  • Intermediate MS Office skills.
  • Working knowledge of Queensland workers' compensation process and RRTWC course completion.
  • Knowledge of QLD coal mining health and safety legislation.
