The Role
  • Familiarise yourself with the bus and its equipment to ensure a safe and enjoyable journey for residents.
  • Maintain mobility aids in good condition to prevent any accidents or injuries.
  • Accompany residents during outings, providing support and encouragement as needed.
  • Assist residents with simple mobilisation tasks, such as pushing a wheelchair, where trained to do so.
  • Share information with colleagues about resident engagement and activities.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by providing timely and agreed-upon services.
  • Navigate roads safely, adhering to all requirements and exercising due care at all times.
Requirements
  • Hold a valid LR class license for driving buses of 22 passenger capacity or less.
  • Prior experience using lifting equipment and assistive devices is highly desirable.
  • Be proficient in using computer software, including Word and Excel.
  • Obtain seasonal flu vaccination or be willing to do so.
  • Pass a police check.
