Senior Health Specialist

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill a key leadership role within our Health, Safety, Security and Emergency Management team.
The successful candidate will provide expert advice and coaching on health and wellbeing matters to the organisation and its stakeholders.
This position is responsible for:
- Providing guidance and support to health specialists in complex injury, illness case management, return to work, rehabilitation and workers compensation processes
- Offering technical expertise and coaching on classification and non-complex case management
- Maintaining strong internal and external relationships with key stakeholders
- Project managing risk and data led proactive health and wellbeing initiatives
- Managing health, hygiene and wellbeing risk through effective control ownership, design and performance
- Improving health standards, procedures and systems to deliver efficiencies
- Participating in global health initiatives and industry workshops
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A Bachelor's degree in a health-related discipline
- Minimum of five years' experience working in a large complex environment
- Effective project management skills and ability to engage and coach at all levels of the organisation
- Relevant experience in systemic management of Occupational Health and partnering with Occupational Hygiene
- Working knowledge of Queensland workers compensation and mining health and safety legislation
- Personal resilience to act as the subject matter expert on health matters in a fast-paced environment
