Compliance Risk Specialist

Strengthen our compliance capability by identifying and mitigating regulatory risks, ensuring adherence to internal standards and external obligations.

This role offers the opportunity to collaborate across divisions, contribute to governance forums, and support the delivery of a proactive compliance culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Embed effective compliance controls and translate regulatory requirements into practical solutions.
  • Identify and mitigate regulatory risks and uplift the control environment.
  • Provide compliance advice and contribute to risk-in-change assessments in collaboration with Internal Audit and other stakeholders.
  • Drive remediation and monitoring activities to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Collaborate across divisions and contribute to governance forums and the delivery of a proactive compliance strategy.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Strong background in regulatory risk in financial services; understanding of APRA, ASIC, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Experience designing and implementing compliance controls that are effective and practical.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail; ability to identify control gaps and assess compliance risks.
  • Ability to use compliance monitoring tools and simplify complex regulatory requirements; strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Professional certifications such as AACI or ACI 10980NAT highly regarded.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with compliance frameworks.
