We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Officer to join our Property Team.
This hands-on role is responsible for the day-to-day upkeep, repairs, and maintenance of residential and commercial properties across Metro Sydney.
The successful candidate will carry out routine maintenance tasks, minor repairs, and support broader property operations.
- Perform general maintenance and repairs, including carpentry, plastering, and painting.
- Inspect properties to ensure safety, compliance, and presentation standards.
- Operate and maintain tools and equipment, completing required safety documentation (JSA/SWMS).
- Assist with the coordination of external contractors.
- Support the Property Coordinator and Service Desk Officers in maintaining the property portfolio.
- Attend team meetings and contribute to collaborative planning.
Key qualifications include:
- A qualified trade background (carpentry, plastering, or general building preferred).
- Demonstrated experience in property maintenance and safe use of tools and equipment.
- Ability to assess maintenance issues, prioritise tasks, and work independently.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Willingness to work collaboratively within a team.
- Understanding of Aboriginal culture and values, and awareness of issues affecting Aboriginal children, young people, and families.
