Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Fiber Optic Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining fiber optic networks for residential, commercial, and industrial clients.

About the Job:

  • Dig trenches and holes to install internet service lines in new areas.
  • Install 24, 48, 96, 192 fiber cables in optical distribution frames.
  • Prepare and terminate fiber optic cables, connectors, and splices from point of presence to customers.
  • Repair faults on existing fiber optic networks using pigtails and fusion splicers, patch cords.
  • Test fiber optic lines after installation to confirm optimal operation.
  • Revised and upgraded faults in copper cables and fiber optic.
  • Expert use of diagnostic equipment.
  • Efficiently identify and resolve technical anomalies.
  • Fiber optic enclosure installation both aerial and underground, as well as aerial cable installation on poles.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience as a skilled technician in telecommunications or related field.
  • Physically fit and capable of standing for long hours.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong knowledge of building and construction procedures.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and alone.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
