About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our team at BMD Empower. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for:

  1. Developing and delivering high-quality engineering solutions to clients, aligning with their project requirements and expectations.
  2. Reviewing and preparing engineering designs, drawings, specifications, and reports, ensuring they meet the highest standards.
  3. Building strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
  4. Coordinating with external consultants, including architects, surveyors, and hydraulic engineers, to incorporate engineering inputs into designs.
  5. Effectively utilizing computer-aided design environments to undertake engineering design and deliver projects efficiently.
  6. Conducting internal audits of our business management system, ensuring design and drafting standards are maintained and improved.
  7. Providing guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  1. A tertiary qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  2. Preferably 5-10 years of industry-relevant experience.
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and external partners.
  4. A high level of ability to understand complex engineering challenges and develop multiple solutions, considering risk and opportunity.
  5. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
