Project Engineer Opportunity

We seek a highly skilled Project Engineer to contribute to the planning, design, and management of water and wastewater treatment facilities.

This is a hybrid role based in Charlotte, North Carolina, involving collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in water/wastewater treatment processes, hydraulic modeling, permitting, and construction administration, with a passion for delivering sustainable and resilient water infrastructure solutions.

  • Assist in designing water and wastewater treatment systems, pump stations, and utility infrastructure
  • Perform engineering calculations, hydraulic modeling, and process design
  • Prepare technical reports, design drawings, and construction specifications
  • Support permitting efforts and regulatory compliance documentation
  • Participate in project meetings, field investigations, and construction site visits
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, senior engineers, and other technical staff

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or relevant field
  • Licensed Professional Engineer
  • 4+ years of experience in treatment design and infrastructure projects
  • Proficiency in hydraulic modeling, treatment process design, pump station design, and utility infrastructure
  • Self-motivated, engaged, and team-oriented individual with ability to work independently
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure and prioritize responsibilities
  • Leadership skills in planning and/or design concepts and methods
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail; excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability and willingness to mentor and lead technical staff
