
AOD Support Professional

We are seeking highly motivated and proactive individuals to join our team as AOD Support Workers.
This role is responsible for providing support to participants through the process of alcohol and other drug withdrawal and residential rehabilitation.
As an AOD Support Worker, you will provide a safe and structured environment, maintaining TSA guidelines.
You will facilitate daily programs of activities that model and foster participation & skills in; daily living, community tasks & positive routines, health & well-being, effective communication & boundaries, educational, recreation & leisure and managing difficult emotions.
The successful candidate will ensure participant self-determination, sense of safety and stability, through applied recovery oriented, person centred, strengths based and trauma informed practice skills.
A key aspect of this role is establishing effective relationships with clients that encourage self-determination and participation.
- Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of Certificate IV level qualification in a relevant discipline (AOD, Community Services, Case Management) including core AOD Units (or willing to undertake/complete during employment).
- A current and valid First Aid Certificate.
- A current NSW Drivers Licence (preferred).
- Knowledge of and experience in working within AOD and/or mental health setting.
