Job Opportunity:

A highly regarded builder is looking for an experienced Senior Estimator to work on projects across various sectors.


About the Role:
  • Manage the tender process from start to finish
  • Responsible for quantity take-offs and negotiations with subcontractors
  • Collaborate with directors of the business
  • Develop relationships with clients and key stakeholders
Responsibilities:
  • Complete detailed cost evaluations and pricing analysis of quotes
  • Consider and cost preliminary requirements for project delivery
  • Develop comprehensive project budgets, cost models, and bid proposals, suggesting and assessing cost-saving/Value Engineering options
  • Collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to align on scope and costs
  • Monitor market conditions and integrate insights into cost forecasting
  • Review and improve tender estimates
  • Mentor junior estimators and enhance estimating tools and processes
Your Background:
  • 8+ years of industry experience, preferably in commercial construction
  • Knowledge of current rates in the commercial environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with sub-contractors and suppliers
  • Attention to detail with quantity take-offs etc
  • Proven experience working on large tenders over $5 million
  • Previous experience working for a reputable builder or a large fit-out contractor
  • Local knowledge required for this role
