Senior Electrical Engineer Role:

This influential position requires technical expertise to deliver high-impact initiatives, foster innovation, and mentor future engineers. You will oversee the delivery of intricate projects involving control centres, communication networks, generation, transmission, and distribution systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading SCADA system design, configuration, testing, and commissioning
  • Providing expert engineering advice on regulatory compliance, system integration, and emerging technologies
  • Acting as a technical lead on major bids and proposals, supporting business development and client engagement
  • Managing SCADA-related systems and documentation including software versions, virtual machines, testing equipment, and client-specific standards
  • Contributing to financial planning and project management through estimates, budgets, and reporting
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Electrical Engineering (or related field), and RPEQ or RPEV accreditation
  • Significant experience in SCADA systems across renewable energy, substations, and grid infrastructure
  • Proficiency in multi-vendor SCADA configurations, RTUs, HMIs, and relevant communication protocols
  • Understanding of the Australian electricity industry and regulatory requirements
  • A track record of managing risk, maintaining safety standards, and delivering quality outcomes
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills
  • Experience with cyber security frameworks (AESCSF, ISA/IEC and SCADA integration with AEMO systems
  • Testing, commissioning, and estimating experience
  • Project management certification or demonstrated high-level project delivery capability
