Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team. As a Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repair work on heavy machinery, including straddle carriers, reach stackers, forklift trucks, quay cranes, and ancillary equipment.

You will work independently and without direct supervision, ensuring all repair and service work is carried out in an efficient and timely manner. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and tidy working area and ensuring that tools and equipment are kept clean and in good condition.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and experience, working with great colleagues from various backgrounds who share ambitious goals. We value collaboration in our open and inclusive culture.

The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. You will also have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Australian or recognized Mechanical trade qualification
  • Minimum completion of year 10

You will also have the following preferred qualifications:

  • Disconnect Reconnect restricted electrical license
  • Forklift operator's license
  • Elevated work platform license
  • Knowledge of the current ports mechanical and electrical crane control systems
