Equipment Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join our team in Erskine Park DC. As an expert in equipment maintenance, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all equipment, vehicles, and facilities across the site.

The ideal candidate will have a background in mechanical or electrical maintenance and possess strong technical knowledge of basic mechanics. They should also have experience in managing contractors and stakeholders, as well as demonstrated capability to manage expenses in line with budgets.

This is a hands-on role that requires a high level of initiative and ownership. The successful candidate will be proactive and self-driven, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and maintain all plant, equipment, machinery, vehicles, and facilities proactively to reduce or minimize service disruption from unplanned outages.
  • Manage contractors and stakeholders for plant, equipment, machinery, vehicles, and facilities.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement projects and programs of work.
  • Participate in planned training including skill development for maintenance activities.

Requirements:

  • Strong technical understanding of basic mechanics for plant, equipment, machinery, vehicles, and facilities.
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of contractor management and maintenance planning.
  • Organised, proactive, and self-driven with the ability to perform handyman tasks.
  • A valid forklift licence.
