Job Title: Indigenous Service Support Officer

Job Description

This role is designated as an Indigenous Identified position. As an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person, you will be working in a culturally appropriate environment to support the needs of Indigenous youth.

The successful applicant will assist in culturally tailored assessment, case planning, and interventions for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people and their families. You will work collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure that clients receive the necessary support and services.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting and supporting youth justice staff and relevant community stakeholders
  • Implementing individualised case plans through designing intervention strategies and linking clients to services
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports

Qualifications:

  • Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent
  • Strong understanding of Indigenous cultural practices and values
  • Experience in working with youth and families
