Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Culinary Manager to lead our commercial kitchen and dining service at a Residential Aged Care facility in Kincumber. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, a passion for delivering high-quality care to the elderly, and a customer-centric approach.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Plan and prepare fresh and nutritious meals for residents based on their dietary needs and preferences.

  • Manage all resources within the kitchen, including equipment and food supplies, to ensure efficient operations.

  • Maintain a hygienically clean kitchen that meets the aged care quality standards.

  • Collaborate with residents to design menus and determine meal times.

  • Prepare texture-modified diets and supplements as required.

  • E nsure all meals are visually appealing.

  • Work with Concierge to provide food for special events.

Requirements:

  • A genuine passion for providing high-quality care to the elderly.
  • Strong customer-centric approach and relationship-building skills.
  • Certificate IV in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery).
  • Demonstrated leadership experience.
  • Ability to build relationships with older people.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of workplace health and safety.
  • PREFERRED: Understanding of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP).
  • Competency in using computer systems, including Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
