About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Pastry Commis Chef to join our team at Le Petit Gateau in Melbourne. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality French-style pastries and desserts that exceed our customers' expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work under the guidance of our Executive Pastry Chef to create a daily selection of exquisite pastries and fresh products.
  • Develop and maintain high standards of quality and presentation in all pastry products.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient and effective production processes.
  • Participate in menu planning and development to ensure a diverse and appealing range of pastry options.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards.
Requirements
  • Certificate III or higher in Patisserie or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced 4-5* resort or restaurant environment.
  • A passion for all things pastry with a strong focus on product quality and presentation.
  • Knowledge of HACCP standards and procedures.
  • A creative and innovative mindset.
  • A desire to further develop your skills.
  • The flexibility to work across a 7-day roster including weekends and peak holiday periods.
  • Full working rights in Australia.
