Job Role:

We seek a skilled PDHPE educator to deliver engaging lessons and inspire students to lead healthy, active lifestyles.

The ideal candidate will support the physical, social, and emotional well-being of students from Kindergarten through Year 6.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement high-quality PDHPE programs aligned with the New South Wales PDHPE syllabus for K-6.
  • Establish a supportive, inclusive, and active learning environment that encourages participation and personal growth.
  • Teach fundamental movement skills, sport-specific skills, and fitness concepts tailored to different year levels.
  • Implement effective classroom management strategies that promote a safe and positive learning environment.
  • Conduct ongoing assessment and provide constructive feedback to students; prepare term reports and communicate effectively with parents.
  • Participate in and contribute to school sporting events, extracurricular sports programs, and whole-school activities.
Ideal Candidate Qualities:
  • Proven experience in teaching physical education and leading sports programs, ideally in a primary school setting.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple events, teams, and activities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and parents.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, particularly in coaching and team management.
  • In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and risk management in school sports.
  • Enthusiastic, energetic, and passionate about sports and physical education.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
  • Strong leadership qualities with a focus on teamwork and community.
  • A commitment to promoting health, fitness, and personal well-being.
  • Resilient, flexible, and able to manage competing demands.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in PDHPE, Physical Education, Sports Science, or equivalent.
  • Relevant teaching qualification (e.g. Bachelor of Education).
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Working with Children Check (WWCC) or equivalent clearance
