Job Description

This role involves developing daily and weekly schedules in alignment with the monthly mine plan. The ideal candidate will be a key member of the planning department, contributing to the development of effective operational strategies.

  • Developing weekly schedules and supporting pit and overburden emplacement facility planning.
  • Providing guidance to technical staff and planners, including participation in planning meetings.
  • Liaising with maintenance teams to optimize equipment maintenance scheduling.
  • Acting as process owner for short-term overburden placement facility design and inspection processes.
  • Managing data reconciliation to ensure accuracy and compliance with business needs.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to optimize resources and deliver against the mine plan.
  • Providing expertise on overburden emplacement sequencing and construction methodologies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Engineering in Mining (or similar relevant tertiary qualification).
  • Minimum three years' experience in open-pit metalliferous mining operations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of mining engineering systems, mine design, and scheduling.
  • Proficiency in mine planning software such as Vulcan or Deswik.
  • Experience with overburden emplacement facility management.
  • Strong planning background with proven success in improving efficiency and achieving outcomes.
