As a Mine Planning Engineer, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of our mining operations. You will be responsible for developing daily and weekly schedules aligned to our monthly mine plan and targets.

This involves detailed planning, stakeholder engagement, and an understanding of projects, costs, and long-term strategies. Your expertise will help us optimize equipment maintenance scheduling, ensuring seamless operations.

  • Developing weekly schedules and supporting monthly pit and overburden emplacement facility planning is crucial to our success.
  • Acting as process owner for short-term overburden placement facility (OEF) design and inspection processes requires a strong understanding of mining engineering systems.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to optimize resources and deliver against the mine plan is key to achieving our goals.

About You:

  • A Bachelor of Engineering in Mining or a similar relevant tertiary qualification is required.
  • Minimum three years' experience in open-pit metalliferous mining operations is essential.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of mine design, scheduling, and overburden emplacement facility management is necessary.
  • Proficiency in mine planning software such as Vulcan or Deswik is expected.
