Mine Planning Engineer Job Description

  • Develop daily and weekly schedules aligned to the mine plan and targets.
  • Provide guidance to technical staff and planners, including participation in planning meetings.
  • Liaise with Maintenance teams to optimise equipment maintenance scheduling.
  • Act as process owner for overburden placement facility (OEF) design and inspection processes.
  • Manage data reconciliation to ensure accuracy and compliance with business needs.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimise resources and deliver against the mine plan.
Key Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Engineering in Mining or relevant tertiary qualification.
  • Minimum three years' experience in open-pit metalliferous mining operations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of mining engineering systems, mine design, and scheduling.
  • Proficiency in mine planning software.
  • Experience with overburden emplacement facility management.
