Job Opportunity for Disability Support Workers

Life Without Barriers is a leading social purpose organisation that empowers people with disability to live life the way they choose. As a Disability Support Worker, you will be providing person-centred active support to people living with disabilities in Illawarra.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide mobility assistance by lifting, transferring and hoisting clients
  • Ability to follow person-centred active support plans and behaviour support plans respectfully
  • Track and document the changing needs of clients through thorough record-keeping
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, their families and your team

Requirements:

  • An unrestricted New South Wales driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Committed to work flexible work hours across the week, including public holidays
  • Demonstrated ability to use basic technology and software on a mobile and desktop
  • A current First Aid Certificate, which includes the course HLTAID003 or HLTAID011
