Our Infrastructure Team
We are experts in trading essentially all listed financial products and asset classes, with a focus on derivatives trading. Through market making and market taking, we handle millions of trading transactions around the world every day, providing liquidity and ensuring competitive prices for buyers and sellers.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Linux Systems Engineer to join our growing Infrastructure team in Sydney. This varied role will leverage your in-depth knowledge of Linux and associated hardware and software to maintain and optimise our systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting and optimising our APAC Linux estate; the continuous improvement of our tools and pipelines to ensure that our systems scale as the company grows.
- Gaining in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience of hardware and software configuration applicable to the trading space; OS Optimisation, NICs & kernel tuning, Core isolation.
- Working with/implementing/supporting tooling/systems such as Puppet, Ansible, Openstack, VMWare, Kafka, Kubernetes and a suite of monitoring/logging/reporting tools (CheckMK, Nagios, Prometheus, ELK and more).
- Support and administer our storage and backup network infrastructure (Various SAN, NAS, DAS technologies such as NetAPP, Pure, GPFS & Vast).
- Major projects in the region such as rolling out new trading platforms, deploying new solutions as required by the business and automating/enhancing what we already have in place (iterate and improve).
Your Skills and Qualifications
- A solid experience administering and working with Linux systems and associated tooling - knowledge of Data Centres/Hardware/trading systems is an advantage.
- Solid and demonstrable skills with programming/scripting in Bash, Python or any other languages.
- Automation focused with a proven track record of designing/delivering end-to-end systems and solutions.
What We Offer
Competitive salary: AU$120,000 - AU$150,000 per year, depending on experience.
