Job Overview

The role of Contract Manager plays a vital part in delivering operational outputs and portfolio strategy for client assets. Effective leadership is required to address complex services or facilities management issues.


This position entails leading a team of technicians to ensure seamless delivery of all services and operations for clients.


Main Responsibilities
  • Establish strong relationships with clients through effective communication and problem-solving skills, serving as the primary point of contact.
  • Manage technical teams, providing guidance and training to adhere to safety, quality, and maintenance standards.
  • Lead responses to hard services-related problems, enforcing policies, rules, and regulations of Australian standards and infrastructure clients.
  • Ensure contract compliance, performance management against KPIs, cost savings initiatives, and customer satisfaction.
  • Implement infrastructure-specific initiatives, including savings programs, energy programs, HSE, service delivery plans, training, and succession planning for technical teams.
  • Participate in audits related to Environmental Management, Quality Management, Information Security, and other infrastructure-specific areas.
  • Develop strategic procurement activities, ensuring best practices, competitive pricing, and proactive delivery of services on infrastructure projects.
  • Review and adjust contract processes to align with infrastructure clients' master contracts and corporate standards.

About You
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in Facilities Management is essential.
  • Experience in managing teams is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Occupational Health and Safety Act, Essential Services regulations, Building Code of Australia requirements, and relevant Australian Standards is necessary.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required to respond effectively to sensitive issues.
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills are needed to present information effectively.
  • Advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles is required, with ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions.
  • Ability to comprehend, analyse, and interpret complex technical documents, and solve problems involving several options in situations.
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite and work order management systems are essential.
  • Familiarity with architectural, electrical, fire, and mechanical systems, and leases, contracts, and related documents is beneficial.
