Job Title: State Workplace Improvement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a State Workplace Improvement Specialist. As an Assistant State Inspector, Operations North you will play a vital role in improving workplace health and safety outcomes across NSW.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections and investigations to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions to enhance workplace safety.
  • Develop and deliver targeted education and engagement programs to workers and employers, providing them with the knowledge and skills needed to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to serious workplace incidents, working closely with stakeholders to ensure a swift and thorough response.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to industry stakeholders on workplace safety best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and develop targeted projects that aim to reduce harm in workplaces and support SafeWork NSW Regulatory Priorities.
