**Job Description:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Meat Wrapper to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring prompt and courteous member service while working in a fast-paced environment.

**Responsibilities:

  • Provides excellent customer service by greeting members and responding to their queries in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Inspects and reassembles equipment sanitized the previous night to maintain high standards of hygiene and safety.
  • Reworks display cases and rotates product to ensure visually appealing displays that meet company standards.
  • Takes large trays of packaged meat from large wheeled racks and places individual packages into automatic wrapping machines.
  • Follows all safety and security procedures to prevent accidents and maintain a secure work environment.
  • Sets labelers according to product type and price, prints and applies labels to products.
  • Puts wrapped and labeled meat on large trays of large wheeled carts and stocks them in display cases by reaching through sliding windows or moving racks to the floor.
  • Operates meat mincers to prepare meat products for packaging and sale.
  • Dumps meat into the top of the machine and checks fat content of each batch from the grinder.
  • Follows proper department production procedures and standards for quality and consistency of finished products.
  • Cleans and sanitizes areas throughout the day to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Performs routine maintenance for machinery, equipment, and implements to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Assists with monthly stocktakes (inventory) to maintain accurate records and prevent stock discrepancies.
