Job Description

A 2-year graduate program offering real-world experience in environmental health and public protection.

About the Role:

This position involves conducting thorough investigations related to public health, environmental conservation, and health services. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting routine inspections of regulated businesses (food, environmentally relevant activities)
  • Ensuring compliance and/or enforcement actions occur
  • Leading proactive work with the community, partners, and stakeholders to educate on compliance with local laws and regulations

The ideal candidate will work methodically and accurately, have good communication skills, and follow instructions precisely. They must be able to work individually and as part of a team while taking pride in quality work and following health and safety workplace requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a sound level of knowledge and understanding of environmental health legislation, including Public Health Act and Environmental Protection Act.
