Urban Planning Expertise

We are seeking a highly skilled urban planning professional to join our team in Brisbane.

As an urban planning expert, you will provide sound statutory and strategic advice to our clients, supporting them with informed insights and analysis.

  • Contribute to the preparation of statutory land use planning projects, including development applications, land use studies, compliance assessments, highest and best use analysis, due diligence, precinct plans, and supporting technical inputs.
  • Provide high-quality planning analysis and advice informed by current government policies, regional and local priorities, and stakeholder needs.
  • Collaborate with internal and external multidisciplinary teams, including specialists in economics, urban design, transport, infrastructure advisory, community planning, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Prepare and review reports, presentations, and public-facing documents that communicate complex planning concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Urban and Regional Town Planning or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years' experience within an urban planning firm-based environment.
  • Sound knowledge of statutory planning and related legislation, ideally gained in a consultancy or local/state government environment.
  • Proficient appreciation and understanding of statutory policies, processes, and influences.
  • Proficient appreciation and understanding of impacts and issues affecting land use and development.
