Job Description

This role involves leading and contributing to high-impact land use planning and policy projects for public sector clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead or contribute to strategic land use planning projects, including growth strategies, precinct plans, employment and housing studies, and technical inputs.
  2. Provide high-quality planning analysis and advice based on current policies, regional and local priorities, and stakeholder needs.
  3. Collaborate with internal and external multidisciplinary teams, including specialists in economics, urban design, transport, infrastructure, and stakeholder engagement.
  4. Prepare and review reports, presentations, and public-facing documents that communicate complex planning concepts clearly.
  5. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high standards.
  6. Develop and mentor team members as appropriate.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualification in Urban and Regional Town Planning or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in an urban planning firm environment.
  • Strong knowledge of strategic planning and relevant legislation, ideally gained in consultancy or government settings.
  • Proficient understanding of strategic policies, processes, and land use issues.
