Job Title: Pricing Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Pricing Specialist to join our team. As a Pricing Specialist, you will play a critical role in creating, assembling, and delivering key commercial tender responses/proposals.

You will work closely with the Local and Regional Tender Management (TM) team to support commercial aspects of tender requests and perform cost analysis. Your responsibilities will include assigning and distributing tasks and rate requests to overseas offices and support functions during the bidding process.

You will also be responsible for obtaining and negotiating rates with carriers and deugro sub-contractors. Additionally, you will need to read ocean and air freight rates as well as understand common terms and conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create, assemble, and deliver key commercial tender responses/proposals
  • Support commercial aspects of tender requests and perform cost analysis
  • Assign and distribute tasks and rate requests to overseas offices and support functions during the bidding process
  • Obtain and negotiate rates with carriers and deugro sub-contractors
  • Read ocean and air freight rates and understand common terms and conditions
Requirements:
  • Excellent knowledge in managing comercial and operational aspects in all major freight forwarding disciplines land, air, ocean, specialized heavy or over dimensional transport for industrial projects
  • Good working knowledge of domestic and international geography including countries, major cities, airports
  • Effective time management skills and capable to evaluate competing deadlines and prioritize workflow
  • Strong commercial, technical and financial acumen
  • Strong organizational skills (prioritize, plan, assign, control)
  • Possess knowledge and/or awareness of risk factors and be familiar with basic measures to manage and mitigate risk
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; and PC skills
