This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Freight Forwarding professional to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing key client accounts from start to finish.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in freight forwarding, with experience in customer service and account management. They will be confident, focused, and have a keen eye for detail.

The successful applicant will play a vital role in servicing our high-value clients, ensuring their freight requirements are met with precision, efficiency, and a friendly, can-do attitude.

1. Account Management: Service key client accounts from initial order through to final delivery, acting as the dedicated point of contact at every stage.
2. Order Coordination: Receive, check, and process client orders, ensuring accuracy and timely execution.
3. Proactive Communication: Regularly update clients on their shipment status, anticipated delivery times, and any potential delays, building trust and transparency.
4. Liaison with Overseas Partners: Coordinate with overseas suppliers, offices, and agents to manage shipments, track progress, and resolve any issues as they arise.
5. Shipping Schedules: Prepare and maintain detailed shipping schedules, ensuring all parties are informed and aligned.
6. Shipment Tracking: Maintain up-to-date client shipment reports, utilising both our internal tracking system and Cargo Wise software.
7. Rate Management: Update and communicate current freight rates to clients, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
8. Invoicing: Prepare and process invoices for consignments, ensuring all documentation is accurate and delivered in a timely manner.
9. Cartage Organisation: Arrange delivery for both FCL (Full Container Load) and LCL (Less than Container Load) shipments, liaising with carriers and clients to schedule timely deliveries.
10. Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and providing tailored logistics solutions.
11. Problem Solving: Tackle issues head-on with a proactive mindset, thinking on your feet to provide swift and effective solutions.

1. Experience: 2–10 years of freight forwarding experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a customer service role within the industry (this is essential).
2. Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to order processing, documentation, and communication.
3. Communication Skills: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate information to clients, colleagues, and overseas agents.
4. Organisational Ability: Exceptional organisational skills to manage multiple accounts and competing priorities efficiently.
5. Client Focus: A customer-centric mindset, always striving to deliver the best possible service and solutions.
6. Relationship Building: Proven ability to develop rapport and maintain long-term client partnerships.
7. Problem Solving: Confidence to make decisions, resolve challenges, and think quickly on your feet.
8. Technical Proficiency: Competence with logistics tracking systems; Cargo Wise experience is highly advantageous.
