About the Role

As a Clinical Registered Nurse Lead at Southern Cross Care, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth transition of new residents into our residential care facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • You will be responsible for completing admissions and assessments to ensure accurate classification and documentation.
  • Support residents and their families in discussing needs, goals, and preferences, working collaboratively to develop a safe and effective care plan.
  • Provide support to the Care Manager in day-to-day management of staff and resources, ensuring all resident needs are met through safe and inclusive practices.
  • Apply clinical judgements within your scope of practice, providing guidance and support to nursing staff to ensure safe and effective care plans are actioned and maintained.
About You

We are looking for individuals with exceptional leadership skills, a strong understanding of clinical practices, and excellent communication skills.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor of Nursing with current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • Current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011) & Current CPR Certificate (HLTAID009).
  • Previous relevant experience working as a Registered Nurse with high-level clinical skills and supervisory responsibilities in an aged care environment.
  • Sound communication skills with a level of English literacy to speak clearly, concisely, and transparently.
  • Ability to read written instructions and write clearly, particularly in care and support plans.
  • Exceptional time management skills to manage workload and meet deadlines.
  • Outstanding decision-making, negotiation, and problem-solving skills to balance resident autonomy with duty of care.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Aged Care Standards to participate in accreditation visits and quality audits.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary: $95,000 - $110,000 per annum, based on location and experience.
