Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Education Leader to join our team at Orana Steiner School.

Role Description

The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership and management to the Primary School and Early Childhood Faculties, ensuring the delivery of high-quality Steiner education programs and supporting the professional development of teaching staff.

  • Ensure the day-to-day operations run smoothly, including student enrolments, staffing, and facilities.
  • Promote a positive school culture and support the wellbeing of students, staff, and the broader school community.
  • Collaborate closely with the Principal and other senior leadership to achieve the school's strategic goals.
  • Represent the school in the local community and with external stakeholders.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Significant experience in a senior leadership role within a primary or early childhood education setting, preferably in a Steiner school environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in implementing Steiner educational philosophies and pedagogy is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of the Australian Curriculum.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and the broader school community.
  • Strong commitment to student wellbeing.
  • Willingness to be involved in the broader life of the school.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Education, and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Eligibility for permanent employment in Australia.
