**About the Role:**

As a Lead Application Specialist, you will be responsible for driving innovation and excellence in software development. Your primary focus will be on developing secure, well-tested, and high-quality software solutions using cutting-edge technologies.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of software solutions in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Design and implement changes and enhancements to existing systems
  • Manage epics, issues, and bugs in a development platform
  • Develop secure and performant code using pipelines on a DevSecOps platform
  • Review code from team members
  • Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks
  • Contribute to security issue remediation
  • Make informed decisions and drive planning initiatives

**Requirements:

  • Proven experience in developing secure, well-tested, and quality software solutions using CI/CD technologies, processes, and platforms
  • Proficiency in GitLab (essential), GitHub, Azure DevOps, or other DevOps platforms
  • Experience in configuring CI/CD pipelines and automation tools like Ansible for secure software development, release packaging, and deployment
  • Redhat linux administration skills (essential)
  • Containerization experience and ability to use containers in CI/CD pipelines (essential)
  • Strong Python development expertise (essential)
  • Experience with PostgreSQL and database systems (essential)
  • JavaScript, Typescript, HTML, CSS proficiency for frontends and ReactJS framework (essential)
  • Experience with web server technologies such as Nginx, Django (essential), and Gunicorn
  • Enterprise networking knowledge including network and host firewalls, and load balancers
  • Ability to work effectively in a team operating under an Agile framework such as Kanban, Scrum, or SAFe
  • Current or reinstatable AGSVA Security Clearance
