Software Licensing Specialist

Bunnings, a leading Australian and New Zealand home improvement retailer, is seeking an experienced Software Licensing Lead. As part of our dynamic team, you will be responsible for acquiring, managing, and overseeing software licenses across the organization.
About the Role
As Software Licensing Lead, your primary focus will be on collaborating with stakeholders, vendors, and end-users to meet software needs and ensure license compliance. You will also be responsible for monitoring software license usage and expiration, maintaining accurate records for compliance, risk, and financial purposes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acquire and manage software licenses, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and industry standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, stakeholders, and end-users to drive software acquisitions and optimize licensing agreements.
- Develop and implement strategies to monitor and report on software license usage and expiration, ensuring timely renewal and maintenance of licenses.
- Manage budgets and reconcile software portfolios, providing accurate financial reports to stakeholders.
- Provide governance oversight for software contracts, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and risk management strategies.
About You
We are looking for a skilled professional with solid knowledge of various licensing models and best practices. You should have excellent communication skills to build relationships with stakeholders and a focus on hands-on work. Key qualifications include:
- Prior experience in a similar technology role, such as an IT Category Specialist or IT Procurement Specialist, dealing with software vendors and different licensing models.
- Strong vendor relationships within the technology industry.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to review and assess commercial terms for technology agreements.
- Strong organisation and prioritisation skills, with a focus on accurate document and record keeping.
- Ability to adapt to changing business needs.

Bunnings offers a competitive salary package, including an estimated annual salary of $120,000 - $150,000 AUD, depending on experience and qualifications.
