About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Isolation Specialist to join our Maritime Sustainment team at BAE Systems Australia in Adelaide.

As an Electrical Isolation Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe management of isolations for systems and equipment on DCE vessels. This includes preparing and providing isolation information to enable production electrical/mechanical teams and contractors to conduct works.

You will be responsible for meeting isolation requirements while maintaining safety and processes, assisting in the development and preparation of accurate isolation documentation, and being available for off-site isolations or training deployments.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team and contribute to the success of our DCE project.

About You

  • You hold a relevant Electrical trades qualification and have prior experience working as a Naval Technician, which is considered desirable.
  • You possess Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain NV1 Clearance.
  • You are eligible to be cleared for International Traffic in Arms (ITAR) regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and provision of isolation information to enable the production electrical/mechanical teams and contractors to conduct works.
  • Meet isolation requirements, whilst maintaining safety and processes.
  • Assist in the development and/or preparation of accurate isolation documentation.
  • Be available to undertake off-site isolations or training deployments.
  • Partner with the Ship Delivery teams to ensure all isolations are issued in line with delivery team requirements.
  • Participate in aligned and integrated safety-first culture across the DCE project, ensuring processes are best practice and appropriate to our working environment/s.
  • Participate in a customer-centric 'one team' culture, improving employee engagement, collaboration, and teamwork, especially where it relates to the High-Risk Team.
  • Optimise performance through embedding a continuous improvement culture.

Further information regarding security clearances can be found on our website. The estimated salary range for this role is between AU$85,000 - AU$115,000 per annum depending on experience.
