About the Role

This opportunity requires a highly skilled Supply Chain Engineer to oversee the technical review and quality assessment of suppliers' systems and operations for electrical components in the submarine. You'll support business processes, provide detailed reporting, and assist in supply chain development through active engagement with the external market.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in technical review and quality assessment of suppliers' systems and operations for electrical components.
  • Support business processes and provide detailed reporting.

  • Review and understand engineering design requirements for naval applications.
  • Conduct pre-qualification desktop reviews of potential manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Participate in on-site visits to assess supplier capabilities and quality control processes.

About You

We're looking for an individual with a four-year bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or similar, satisfying eligibility for membership of Engineers Australia (or other equivalent professional society). Your minimum three to five years' experience in a similar role is essential. You'll possess good written and oral communication skills, ability to recognize and set appropriate priorities and work standards, demonstrated commercial acumen, and knowledge and experience with systems and technologies such as cabinets and consoles, electric motors, cables, and sensors.
