About AGL's IT Delivery Team

We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Project Manager to lead key initiatives in data migration, storage optimization, and VLAN management. This is a contract opportunity based in the Loy Yang area, offering a hybrid working environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage cross-functional project teams, stakeholders, and dependencies across multiple technology initiatives.
  • Ensure delivery of project milestones, adhering to key metrics of quality, time, and budget.
  • Hands-on management and oversight of data migration, storage optimization, and VLAN management projects.
  • Set up and drive project governance, steering committees, and reporting frameworks.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, managing issues and dependencies to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Promote and enforce delivery governance across both the direct project team and the wider organization.
  • Oversee resource planning, forecasting, and effective allocation of project resources.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing large-scale data migration projects, including experience with database migration tools, methodologies, and cloud storage solutions.
  • Experience with storage optimization initiatives, such as SAN (Storage Area Network) management, NAS (Network Attached Storage) solutions, and cloud storage strategies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Solid understanding of VLAN management, including hands-on experience in configuring, maintaining, and optimizing virtual LANs for secure and efficient data traffic management.
  • Proficiency in network infrastructure management, including network segmentation and experience working with routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Experience working with backup, disaster recovery, and data replication technologies, ensuring data integrity and business continuity during migration.
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and their integration with data storage and network infrastructure.
  • Experience with cloud migration strategies, including hybrid and multi-cloud environments, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to business operations.
  • Proven capability to manage concurrent projects ranging from small-scale to large transformational initiatives.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with experience in managing people, processes, and project finances.
  • Ability to manage stakeholder relationships effectively, including senior sponsors and external partners.
  • Strong understanding of risk management, issue resolution, and project governance in a matrixed organization.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence and drive project success across diverse teams.

Estimated Salary Range: AU$90,000 - AU$120,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
