About the Role

As a key member of the Student Engagement Unit, you will provide strategic guidance on the implementation and delivery of student support services, ensuring a consistent and high-quality experience for all students across our campuses. You will lead and support a team of Student Advisers (International) to work collaboratively with students, staff, and stakeholders to drive positive outcomes.

About the Student Engagement Unit

The Student Engagement Unit is responsible for developing and delivering student-facing services that enhance the on-campus and off-campus student experience. We strive to inform the quality of the student experience through our work on learning and teaching, support services, the learning environment, and student facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic advice on student support services and lead the development of initiatives to enhance the student experience.
  • Lead and support a team of Student Advisers (International) to work collaboratively with students, staff, and stakeholders.
  • Work with key stakeholders to inform the quality of the student experience through research and analysis.
  • Develop and implement projects, programs, and services to improve student support and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to drive continuous improvement and innovation in student engagement.
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Demonstrated research and analytical skills, including the provision of advice and recommendations to senior management.
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply research-based best practice in student support and engagement.
  • Demonstrated skills in interpreting and applying policies, procedures, and legislative principles.
  • Highly developed organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • An excellent understanding of issues relating to international students in higher education settings.
