About the Role

The Department of Human Services SA is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Policy Advisor to join our Closing the Gap Policy and Transformation team. As a key member of our team, you will provide strategic and expert advice on policy, issues, trends, and emerging research that affect Aboriginal people and services under Closing the Gap.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic advice on policy development and service improvement, analyzing policy and strategic directions to contribute to relevant processes.
  • Collaborate with executives and other departmental leaders to drive strategy and service design focused on building the capacity and capability of the Aboriginal Community-Controlled Sector.
  • Support the delivery of commitments against the Closing the Gap Priority Reforms, particularly Priority Reform Two to build the Aboriginal community-controlled sector.
  • Build key relationships and successful partnerships with the community, non-government, and government stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Only people of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descent may apply.
  • National Police Check required.
  • Employment-related Screening Check required.
