The Student Engagement Unit is responsible for developing and delivering student-facing services that enhance the on-campus and off-campus student experience. We strive to inform the quality of the student experience through our work on learning and teaching, support services, the learning environment, and student facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic advice on student support services and lead the development of initiatives to enhance the student experience.
  • Lead and support a team of Student Advisers (International) to work collaboratively with students, staff, and stakeholders.
  • Work with key stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and measure the effectiveness of student support services.
  • Develop and implement projects, programs, and initiatives to enhance the student experience.
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Demonstrated research and analytical skills, including the provision of advice and recommendations to senior management.
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply research-based best practice pedagogy for the development, evaluation, and improvement of university-level programs and initiatives.
  • Demonstrated skills in interpreting and applying policies, procedures, and legislative principles in response to the changing environment.
  • Highly developed organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently and collaboratively.
  • An excellent understanding of issues relating to international students in higher education settings, with a demonstrated commitment to keeping abreast of changes in legislation or best practice.
