Job Title: Fire Appliance Technician

Description

The Queensland Fire Department requires a highly skilled and experienced professional to maintain its fleet of fire appliances. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for conducting repairs and scheduled maintenance to ensure compliance with heavy vehicle legislation.

You will service and/or repair or maintain firefighting systems, pumping systems, and associated equipment to meet manufacturer specifications. Additionally, you will competently and safely use hand and special tools, electronic diagnostic equipment, and comply with Workplace Health and Safety requirements.

To succeed in this role, you must have a current Medium Rigid drivers' license (or ability to attain prior to appointment) and trade certification qualifications as an Engineering Tradesperson - Level 1 Motor Mechanic (Heavy Vehicle Stream), and/or skills and knowledge as a tradesperson in a heavy motor mechanic environment.
