We are seeking a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Apprentice to join our team. As an apprentice, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop your skills in the heavy vehicle mechanical trade.
Job DescriptionThis is a four-year apprenticeship program that provides hands-on training and experience in the repair, maintenance, and installation of fire appliances and associated equipment.
- Repair and maintain light and heavy vehicles and equipment to ensure they comply with heavy vehicle legislation and regulations.
- Assist in the diagnosis and repair of complex mechanical problems.
- Participate in ongoing manufacturer and in-house training to maintain competencies and acquire a trade certificate in the area of: heavy vehicle road transport.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A valid driver's licence and familiarity with both manual and automatic transmission types.
- Eligibility for enrolment in or progression towards achievement of the relevant Trade Certificate in Heavy Vehicle Mechanic.
- Commitment to complete a four-year apprenticeship and obtain a nationally recognised qualification.
