Child and Family Cultural Support Worker | Longreach | Remote Area Family Service
Employment Term: Part-Time, Maximum Term to 30 June 2026 (38 hours per fortnight).
Location: Longreach
Remuneration: $44.58 per hour + Super + $15,900 NFP Salary Packaging & $2,650 for meals & entertainment
Responsibilities
Support early childhood development, parenting resilience and mobile services to communities
Develop and implement programs to strengthen family relationships, implement early intervention and prevention activities
Enhance and support increased First Nations/Multicultural community participation and family functioning
Provide information, advice and referral pathways
Increase awareness of children's wellbeing and adopt a holistic approach to supporting early childhood education in alignment with family and child support to nurture children for learning and life
Deliver predominantly in remote locations (approximately 60% travel and overnight stays in communities)
Role Context
Our Remote Area Families Service (RAFS) program seeks a passionate and autonomous worker to join the Remote Area Child and Family Team in Longreach. You will work with vulnerable clients in communities and focus on the above areas.
