Job Title: Child and Family Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Child and Family Mental Health Specialist to join our team. This role is a full-time maternity leave replacement contract until 12 September 2025.

This position involves providing mental health and wellbeing supports to families and their children (aged 11 and under), including perinatal services. The successful applicant will be responsible for working with parents and children of culturally diverse groups, including First Nations, CALD and LGBTIQ+ communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing individual and group counselling sessions
  • Developing and implementing evidence-based plans to support families and children
  • Collaborating with other professionals to provide comprehensive care
  • Participating in regular clinical supervision and case conferencing
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or Diploma with several years' practical experience
  • Experience working with families and children in a mental health setting
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
