Job Description

Gartner Business Development Executives are pivotal in expanding our global presence through strategic client acquisition and cultivation of trust-based relationships with C-level executives.

The full sales cycle, from identifying prospects to closure and transition of new accounts, is driven by Business Developers. They relentlessly build trust-based, value-add relationships with clients, delivering long-term client value and growing their book of business over time.

Clients served by Large-Enterprise sales teams have annual revenues exceeding $1 billion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive new business opportunities with new-to-Gartner organizations across assigned territories.
  • Convert viable prospects into active Gartner clients through negotiation and close.
  • Continuously develop a pipeline of high-quality opportunities to deliver against sales metrics.
  • Meet quota responsibility for assigned territories.
  • Manage complex high-revenue sales in matrix and diverse business environments.
  • Own forecasting and account planning on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis.
Requirements
  • 5+ years' B2B sales experience in complex intangible sales environments.
  • Business development or new-client acquisition experience in a selling role desired.
  • Experience selling to and/or influencing C-level executives.
  • Proven track record meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to manage and forecast complex sale processes.
  • Will to conduct travel as needed.
